The 17-year-old from Gravir had been set to meet her mum after school.
She was last seen in her school uniform outside the Nicolson Institute in Stornoway at around on Thursday, and friends had joined police in the search for her today.
Friends say Hannah seemed fine and it is believed that her disappearance was not linked to any problems at school. She had attended lessons that day.

She was intending to walk 1.3 miles to the Western Isles Hospital in the town to meet her mother.
When last seen she was wearing a dark blue Nicolson Institute jumper, black skinny jeans and a black waist-length jacket with white lining and a white furry strip on the hood.
Inspector Jane Nicolson said: "We are grateful to everyone who has been in contact so far with information and encourage anyone else who can help to get in touch."
Hannah's best friend Evie Hepworth took to social media to appeal for sightings of her pal.
