Police reacts as man attempts to arrest late brother's widow for denying them access to deceased's property
A man attempted to arrest his late brother's widow for refusing to grant them access to their late brother's properties.
This was disclosed by the Delta State Police Command PRO, Bright Edafe.
Edale went on to reveal his response to the brother-in-law.
He wrote: "So this guy came to me that he want to arrest his late brothers wife because she didn’t allow them access to their brothers properties.
"I asked if she had children for their late brother, he said yes and I asked where are the kids, their schools and wellbeing, he didn’t have any idea about how they are doing but care only for properties.
"I sha told him he is wicked brother and a shameless one at that. Then politely asked him to leave the office. He left in shame.
I may be wrong but there are something’s we shouldn’t do at all especially to widows who may spend their entire life taking care of these kids alone."

Russia has warned the West saying it was playing with fire by considering allowing Ukraine to strike deep into Russia with Western missiles and cautioned the United States on Tuesday that World War Three would not be confined to Europe.
Ukraine attacked Russia's western Kursk region on August 6 and has carved out a slice of territory in the biggest foreign attack on Russia since World War Two. President Vladimir Putin said there would be a worthy response from Russia to the attack.
Sergei Lavrov, who has served as Putin's foreign minister for more than 20 years, said that the West was seeking to escalate the Ukraine war and was "asking for trouble" by considering Ukrainian requests to halt a ban on using foreign-supplied weapons in deep parts of Russia.
Since invading Ukraine in 2022, Putin has repeatedly warned of the risk of a much larger war involving the world's biggest nuclear powers, though he has said Russia does not want a conflict with the U.S.-led NATO alliance.
"We are now confirming once again that playing with fire - and they are like small children playing with matches - is a very dangerous thing for grown-up uncles and aunts who are entrusted with nuclear weapons in one or another Western country," Lavrov told reporters in Moscow.
"Americans unequivocally associate conversations about the Third World War as something that, God forbid, if it happens, will affect Europe exclusively," Lavrov said.
Lavrov added that Russia was "clarifying" its nuclear doctrine.
Russia's 2020 nuclear doctrine says the president can use a nuclear weapon "when the very existence of the state is put under threat".
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said earlier this month that the assault on Russia's Kursk region showed that Kremlin threats of retaliation or nuclear war were a bluff.
Zelenskiy said Ukraine, because of the restrictions imposed by allies, could not use the weapons at its disposal to hit some Russian military targets. He urged allies to be bolder in their decisions about how to help Kyiv in the war.

A Nigerian man, Chuwkunonso Nzekwe has mourned his friend, Obum Mekowulu Oluchukwu, who d!ed three days ago after he was allegedly rejected by several hospitals in Anambra due to doctors' strike.
The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) Anambra Branch embarked on an indefinite strike last Thursday over the abduction of their member, Dr. Stephen Ezeh.
NMA suspended the strike on Sunday after the release of Dr Ezeh from captivity.
According to Nzekwe, the deceased, an On Air Personality with a radio station, had complained of stomach pain and was rushed to several hospitals in Anambra State at midnight.
He alleged that the hospitals, including Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital, refused them entry, saying that doctors downed their tools due to the abduction of the doctor.
“A dear friend and a jolly good fellow, OBUM, breathed his last breath 2 days ago, no thanks to the wickedness of the Nigerian doctors and the failed Nigerian medical system,” he wrote in a Facebook post on Monday, August 26, 2024.
"What started as a mere stomach pain, he complained to his wife led them to journey to several hospitals in the thick of the night, all to no avail.
"Rose Of Sharon, shut their gate at you. They refused you entry; they said they had no doctor on the seat. Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital failed you; they said the doctors downed their tools cos they kidnapped one of their members(A terrible callous act), and you were just ferried from one location to another, just to survive.
"Alas, you decided to just go, to leave this wicked world; you were very sympathetic about the Nigerian cause, and in your radio programs, you were always passionate about it.
"You were always the easygoing type that would barely hurt a fly, you were a great guy, and the last time we met, you were full of joy and promised we would do big things together.
“Dear Mekowulu Oluchukwu, Nigeria failed you, Nigerian Doctors failed you & We failed you! Rest in PEACE BROTHERLY.”

French President Emmanuel Macron has denied any political involvement in the arrest of Telegram founder Pavel Durov, who remains in French custody following his surprise detention at a Paris airport. Durov, who holds both Russian and French citizenship, has been in custody since Sunday and is expected to remain so until Wednesday, following an extension granted by French authorities. The ongoing investigation could see Durov either released or formally charged when his initial 96-hour detention period concludes.
The arrest has raised eyebrows due to the timing and circumstances surrounding it. Durov, who has been based in Dubai, arrived in Paris from Baku, Azerbaijan, seemingly aware of the legal risks. 'We created chances, we haven't taken them. And [it's] just an example of how Jackson finishes.
After scoring in the 6-2 win over Wolves on Sunday, Jackson told Mikel to 'shut your mouth' in an Instagram post.
Mikel responded by saying that he likes Jackson's game but stressed that there are aspects that the 23-year-old needs to work on.
